Bible study materials from Bible League International are making a difference for Christians in Ethiopia. Not only for new believers like Hagos and his family, but also for pastors, who are being trained in evangelism and Bible study. Last year, while Muslims in Ethiopia celebrated their holy day of Id Al Adha (Arafa), Hagos and his family celebrated Christmas for the very first time as the result of Christians in Africa ministering in his village.
"God bless you," says Hagos. "Because I completed my Bible training, my family made it out of difficult times. My children even accepted Christ. For the first time last year, we celebrated the birth of our Savior together, as a family."
Growing in faith like never before.
When asked about the importance of our Africa ministry, an Ethiopian pastor responded: "These Bible study materials are helpful not only for new believers, but also for pastors like me. As an African Christian, I long to see my people saved. The Bible study materials help us present God's truth in such a helpful way."
"Thank you for providing Bibles, Bible study materials, and training in evangelism and discipleship for the people of the Dilla area! They are learning how to live as Christians and growing in their faith like never before."
"I learned how to have healthy family relationships."
Pastor Yosef from Ethiopia recently shared his thanks: "I have been a pastor for a couple of years. I was never involved in any Bible study group. I read the Bible by myself and preached from the pulpit. When I joined a group and used the materials from Bible League International, I learned a lot."
"It is very helpful to study the Word of God in a group rather than alone. Because of Bible study materials and training from Bible League International, I learned how to have healthy family relationships and how to handle my temperament in my pastoral ministry. I am grateful for this ministry."
