Muslim finds Jesus Christ
The walls of Islam crumbled at the sound of a single word. Love.
Can Muslims find Jesus in Northern Africa, where Islam is spreading like wild fire? The glorious answer is YES, even in North Africa, where Muslim/Christian conflict is at its very worst, and even among Qur'an scholars, God's love and the Bible are turning the tide, and claiming countless hearts for Christ. On his way to work one day, a Somali scholar, an expert in the Qu'ran, was approached by an innocent, little girl-an 11-year-old Christian who told him, "Jesus loves you."
Day after day, she stopped him with the same words. He first became annoyed, then downright angry-until one morning her words changed. "I'd like to become a Muslim!" she said, much to his delight!
But there was a catch. "I'll become a Muslim under one condition," she said, "that you show me in the Qur'an where it says Allah loves me." He searched and searched, but nowhere in the Muslim holy book could he find those simple words. It was an omission that stirred his mind and haunted his heart -- and that's when the miracle happened. He had a vision. He saw a cross floating in front of his eyes. He ran to the nearest Christian church and the pastor was a trained Bible League International worker!
The pastor explained God's plan of salvation, and that day, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and received his first Bible. But the story does not end there. He, too, was discipled and trained and is now leading his own Bible studies for Muslim seekers, using Bible League International materials and providing Bibles.
God loves them
"It's so important to me," shares this former Muslim, "to have Bibles and study materials, so that I can show them directly from the Scriptures the truth that a little child once shared with me -- God loves them."In Isaiah 11:6, it says "a little child shall lead them.” We here at Bible League International love that it was indeed a little girl who helped lead a Muslim man to Christ. We are so affirmed to know that God still moves in miraculous ways, even behind the walls of Islam -- indeed, even in the hardest places on earth.
As a result, we are inspired to push this ministry to do all we can, as quickly as we can, to redeem the hearts and minds of Muslims. As you can see from this true story, Muslims are "people of the book." They respect God's written revelation -- and they are amazingly responsive to Bible League’s unique approach of one-on-one discipleship and by reading the Word of God together in the safety of their own homes. Providing Bibles for Muslims and showing them one-by-one how God loves them is reaping miraculous results across the Muslim world.
In the end, no government, no army can stop the advance of Islam. But providing Bibles so that Muslims can find Jesus, and feel God's love in their lives is making a difference. The Bible is so powerful. Through the Holy Spirit, it can transform hearts and reshape nations, even when it is delivered in the hands of a humble servant … or even through the words of a little Christian girl.
