Myanmar

As a Christian living in Myanmar, Than no longer felt safe in his own country. Because he was a Christian, Than feared being forced to work as a porter for the Burmese army (where he surely would have died). Than decided to flee to Malaysia to escape this persecution. Along his journey, Than found strength in God's Word and continued to share his faith. His journey is not over, but now Than has hope in the message of Jesus Christ.

Christian persecution washed away by Living Waters

Christian man escapes persecution and imprisonment by swimming across the Mekong river, and shares the Gospel with Laotian refugees
Thailand
Christian persecution is a common practice in many parts of the world.  As a Laotian Christian, Brother Barout had endured imprisonment, brainwashing, and torture as a result of his bold teaching and preaching of God’s Word and as a Bible League-trained Bible Planter®.  When he and another Christian decided to escape to Thailand where they could evangelize Laotian refugees more freely, they first had to face the treacherous waters of the Mekong River.  With Bibles strapped to their backs, they had little hope of surviving the deadly waters of the Mekong.

Was death the only escape for Jacobite Christian in India?

Jacobite Christians in India share their joy with others
India
Christians in India comprise a small percentage of the population. Yet Mary’s family had been Christian for centuries. Despite her family’s Christian heritage, Mary did not call on her faith for strength – even in her darkest moments. Instead, when tragic events removed all that was precious in her life, she gave up on God. But God did not give up on her.  In fact, God sent her a divine reminder of His love.
