Hotbed for ministry
The Philippine Islands have proven to be one of the most fertile
grounds for church planting in all of Southeast Asia, and
even in the entire world, for the Bible League. Prepared
by the Holy Spirit, thousands of Filipinos are turning to
Jesus Christ each year—and church growth is exploding
as a result. Bible League-trained leaders are excited to
report that since the Bible League’s ministry began
in the Philippines, over one million Filipinos have become
baptized members of a local church!
Equipping believers for service
This extraordinary growth is fueled by Christian Filipinos
equipped to reach their own friends and neighbors. As believers
become grounded in their faith, many desire to share the
Word of God with others. Local denominations identify men
and women called to plant churches, and the Bible League
provides them with the essential Scriptures, training, and
study materials. The results are astounding—each year,
Bible League-trained Filipinos are establishing hundreds
of new churches in communities where there has been no evangelical
presence.
The blessings continue
As God pours out His blessings, more doors continue to open
for the Bible League in the Philippines. Local denominations
are increasingly asking to partner with the Bible League
in training new church planters. According to the Director
of Southeast Asia, “The impact of the church planting
program reaches far beyond our own ministry results and is
blessing many denominations and groups which have limited
training opportunities, but desire to grow and plant local
churches.”
Your prayers are needed
While the Bible League celebrates these miracles in the Philippines,
rapid growth often presents new challenges. Pray that God
will continue to bless us with the funding and materials
needed to reach the people of these islands. Pray also that
God will lead new people to the Bible League as staffing
needs arise.
