A man stands on a street where a team of church planters are fulfilling the Great Commission through evangelization training.

“I met and spoke with Daniel, an ex-con who was converted,” recalls Teofil. “He talked about his salvation...about how Jesus forgave his sins. He told me he was certain he would spend eternity in heaven with God.”

Daniel’s also a church planter trained by Bible League International. He gave Teofil some Bible study materials and a Bible, and helped him understand what he was reading. Teofil found the same joy, peace, and purpose Daniel had discovered.

“As I studied the Bible, I started to meet Jesus Christ,” Teofil shares. “He became my Savior, too. I repented and was baptized—the first baptism in my prison. I’ll never forget that moment of joy!”

Today, Teofil’s a free man in spirit and in body. He’s gone through Bible League’s discipleship training, and now visits inmates in the same prison where he did his time. “I share the message of the Bible—eternal freedom in Jesus Christ,” he says.

“I thank the Lord for my salvation,” he concludes. “I thank Him, too, for Bible League International, who provided me with the Bible that led me to Jesus Christ.”
