CHICAGO—Bible
League is launching a nationwide Speakers Bureau this spring,
coordinating with its milestone 70th anniversary.
Created to raise awareness of the great need for God’s
Word around the world, the Speakers Bureau will feature trained
professionals available to speak on Bible League’s behalf
at churches and other venues across the country.
This new effort is being initiated during Bible League’s
70th anniversary year, and will help spread the word about Bible
League’s “Vision
2020”—the ministry’s
ambitious new goal to train 10 million nationals to engage 100
million people worldwide in the study of God’s Word through
the placement of Bibles and New Testaments by the year 2020.
“Throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the former Soviet Union,
the Middle East, and South America, millions of people long to
read the pages of God’s Word, but do not have access to,
or cannot afford a Bible,” said Mike Southworth, Bible League’s
executive vice president of ministry. “And many American
Christians are unaware of this great need.”
The speakers will bridge this gap for American audiences.
From dynamic presentations, audiences will learn how they can
be a part of sharing God’s life-transforming Word to more
people around the world.
Bible League currently responds to the requests of Christian
leaders in more than 60 countries—Christians desperate for
Bibles. By placing God’s Word into the hands of those who
are waiting, people throughout the nations are coming into fellowship
with Christ and His Church. Through training and Bible studies
in nearly 120 languages, Bible League strategically equips indigenous
Christians to lead people to Christ, growing God’s family
in number and spiritual maturity. |
