Fiore was a good person, but there were parts of her life that bothered her.
She had a common law husband for years. Though she was not a Christian, she knew she was living a lie. She wanted things to change in her life, but she didn't know how to change.
Spiritual journey
Fiore's life took a dramatic turnaround when she was exposed to the transformational power of the Bible. Fiore's spiritual journey had a simple start: a friend invited her to a Bible study. But that friend had been prepared. He had received discipleship training from Bible League International and learned how to lead small group Bible studies. The goal of his discipleship training was to bring people like Fiore into a relationship with Christ and His Church- and God was faithful.
"I came to know Jesus through a small group Bible study. My friends brought the study to my home, and it was there I began to learn about the Word of God," say Fiore. "Through the studies, my friends invited me to attend church with them. It was at church that I accepted Jesus as my Savior. But the Lord had prepared me through the study of the Bible. This has been very important to my life."
Everything changes
"So much changed in my life," she continues. "I never would have come to church before. I feel completely changed as a person. I lived with a man in a common law marriage. We are now married. I was baptized last week. It has been a tremendous change. My husband has not accepted Christ yet, but he is coming to church, and we read the Bible together. My goal is that he would come to Christ."
"The Bible studies have brought tremendous fruit to my community. There are many people who don't like to come to church. But through the Bible studies and the Bibles provided, people have received the Word of God in their homes. As they study, they begin to learn the Word and it changes their lives. It is very important."
"I am thankful to God because today I am an active member of my church. And all of this is because God brought the Bible study to me."
