There are more orphanages in Russia today than there were after WWII.

At least 20 million Russians perished during WWII. Today’s orphanages, however, are filled with many kids whose parents are still alive but are in prison, alcohol- and/or drug-addicted, or economically unable to care for their children. UNICEF does not have data on the number of orphans in Russia. Published estimates from a variety of sources vary widely—ranging from as low as 400,000 to as high as 4 million. Even if we don’t know an exact number, we do know that these children need to know Jesus Christ. And Bible League-trained workers are introducing Him when they share God’s Word with these children.
