Before I knew Christ, I was in damnation—I bowed down
to idols and my marriage was disintegrating from day to day.
My husband and I were separated—he continually came home
drunk, and my children were afraid of him.
I was resting one afternoon, when some
Bible League-trained Christians came to visit me. They helped
me and gave me the Gospel of John, along with study questions.
I took three weeks to answer the questions. Then, as a reward,
they gave me the New Testament in my native tongue—Zapoteco
del Istmo!
Previously, some people had told me about Christ, but I had
not understood Spanish very well. Now, with a New Testament
in my language, it is easier.
Now my life has changed so much. I attend church with all
of my family, and not long after attending, my husband also
became a Christian!
Thanks to God, we are a happy family.
