Wycliffe

Over the past 40 years, Bible League International has published New Testaments in more than 400 languages, and made portions of Scripture available in 300 additional languages. Wycliffe translators labor—sometimes for decades—to develop new translations. We then print and place many of these Scriptures with previously Bible-less people. Trained staff and volunteers currently share Bible League International Scriptures in indigenous languages in more than 55 countries. Newly-translated Scriptures were recently placed in the hands of specific people groups throughout Ghana, Kenya, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, and the Philippines—people who never before had the written Word of God in their language. Wycliffe Bible Translators is focused on people groups under one million. They are currently working in more than 2,400 languages. In addition, they have begun “Vision 2025,” a vision to begin a translation in every language of the world by the year 2025. Most of the minority groups reached live in desolate, remote, mountainous, desert, or jungle areas. New Bible translations mean that million of people discover God’s love for them as they study His Word in their heart language.
