Poor

Poor men, women, and children hear the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ.

According to World Bank, nearly 1.3 billion people live on less than $1.25 per day. Hunger and disease are daily challenges threatening one’s survival. Facing this constant battle can be overwhelming, leaving a sense of defeat and hopelessness. But for the poor, the Bible offers hope in the midst of suffering—God’s promise of salvation through Jesus Christ. In the Gospel, Jesus meets the poor where they are in their daily struggle, and lights the path towards redemption. In response to the Great Commission, we translate the Bible into the Easy-to-Read™ Version so people meet Jesus. And our Bible-based Literacy Outreach program uses Scripture to inject hope - both physical and spiritual.

“We have much sadness, but we are always rejoicing. We are poor, but we are making many people rich in faith. We have nothing, but really we have everything.” 2 Corinthians 6:10 (ERV)

Persecuted

Persecuted Christians rely on God's Word for strength in the face of pain.

Faith is not a simple thing, especially when you are attacked and harassed for your beliefs. The strength of Christians who live in hostile areas is immense. Each day, these Christians face the possibility of discrimination from business owners, exploitation at the hands of local government officials, and even the threat of physical attacks by friends or family. In these challenges, God’s Word gives the strength these men and women need. We support our brothers and sisters in Christ and by providing the Bible through our secure, worldwide network, so that they may find truth in God’s promise. The Easy-to-Read Bible app digitally provides on-demand Scripture, keeping Christians safe and in touch with God’s Word.

“Great blessings belong to those who suffer persecution for doing what is right. God’s kingdom belongs to them.” Matthew 5:10 (ERV)

Muslim World

The Bible serves as the gateway to reaching Muslim men and women throughout the world.

The historical divide between Islam and Christianity presents a unique challenge in reaching the more than 2.1 billion Muslims throughout the world. Muslims rely on the written word of the Koran for their teaching. Only the Gospel is able to break through, opening the doors for the truth of Jesus Christ to reach the hearts of Muslims. The Gospel introduces Muslims to the wonder of God’s love for all! We share God’s love using Akses™ Digital Bible Libraries to safely provide God’s Word. Akses delivers all the materials needed so that Muslims may meet Jesus and place their faith in Him.

“So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them.” 1 John 4:16 (ERV)
