Migena is a 22-year-old college student who had been a devout Muslim her entire life. Originally from the city of Lushnja in central Albania, she came to Tirana to study. "I participated in many Islamic conferences," she explains, "and I was very devoted and kept all of the prayers Islam required. Not only did I read the Quran every day, I memorized its verses. I was very proud of that."
Things began to change for her when she noticed a book on her roommate's desk. It was a Bible. "I had gone over there to do course assignments, and I asked her about the Bible," she shares. "She invited me to come to church with her, but I hesitated. She shared the lessons she was learning in her Project Philip Bible study with me, and I saw how much love God has for us and what a great sacrifice He made sending Jesus to us."
"I discovered the real purpose of my life," she says. "Through God's Word, I was saved, and my family is coming to church now. God bless you!"
Although she loved learning more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, she knew it might cause conflict at home. "Studying the Word of God gave me a real understanding of the personal relationship you can have with God," she says with a broad smile. "I was so glad to receive a Bible because in Islam, it would have been a sin for me to buy one for myself. I studied it every day and, eventually, some of my family members started coming to church, too!" Migena is grateful to you for providing her with the Good News. "I discovered the real purpose of my life," she says. "Through God's Word, I was saved, and my family is coming to church now. God bless you!"
