Our Mission: Serving the under-resourced Church with Bibles and training to transform lives worldwide through God’s Word.
Bible League International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit who has spent the last 80 years equipping the local church with God’s Word worldwide.
Today we serve in six regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and the U.S., equipping the under-resourced Church so they can reach their communities with the Gospel. Our ministry programs include our Project Philip evangelistic and discipleship Bible study; Bible-based Literacy; and Church Planter Training. Through these programs, people connect with Christ so their lives can be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our Work In Nepal:
Your gift to provide Bibles and Training to Nepal will transform lives in the following ways:
Bibles: Bible League International’s Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) Bible translations are written in everyday language, making God’s Word accessible at a basic reading level. This is important for new readers and those unfamiliar with the Bible. The most common responses are: “I can understand the Word of God!” and “It’s as if the words are alive.”
Project Philip Bible Studies: The heart of Bible League International’s global strategy is Project Philip, a Bible study program that trains local church members in discipleship. Project Philip is inspired by the story of Philip and the Ethiopian in Acts 8. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The Ethiopian responded: “How can I understand? I need someone to explain it to me.”
Small Group Bible Studies meet in homes, garages, or even under a tree and are essential for believers to learn about God’s Word and grow in their faith.
Bible-based Literacy: An obvious and important part of reaching people with God’s Word is Literacy. But many who desperately need the message of the Gospel struggle with reading, especially in impoverished regions. Our Bible-based Literacy programs teach reading and writing skills or second language literacy using the Bible as their text.
In Nepal, Bible-based Literacy offers men, women, and children the opportunity to learn to read and write in English with the Bible as their text, free of charge!
Church Planter Training: Bible League International provides resources and training for church planters. We help train and encourage students who are eager to show God’s love, in remote areas and the world’s busiest cities, so they can teach others and care for the spiritual needs of their communities.
It is vital that church planters be part of their own culture – to understand the people, languages, and culture. With passion for those who need to hear the Gospel, these new Pastors are teaching about faith in Jesus Christ, answering difficult and important questions, and showing others the love of God.
Over the course of one year, Bible League International’s training takes church planters through five steps to begin a new church.
