Starting a Facebook Fundraiser
Fundraising on Facebook is an effective and time-efficient way to support Bible League International. With a desire to share God’s Word with the world, five minutes, a few clicks, and some invitations to friends, you can provide Bibles and training to under-resourced churches worldwide.
Many times, people will set up personal fundraisers in honor of their birthdays or anniversaries. Those are great reasons! But you may also wish to mark your own special event—or create a fundraiser for no other reason than to help those in need of God’s Word.
Watch this short video for a step-by-step tutorial.

Facebook Individual Fundraisers Best Practices
1. Donate to Your Own Fundraisers!
- Why should others give if you don’t? Donating to your own fundraiser shows that you are also invested in the cause! It doesn’t have to be much, $10 still shows that you care!
2. Thank those that Give!
- We all have busy lives but remember to thank those that gave to your fundraiser!
3. Share Updates!
- People like to see how things are going- so give updates! We recommend sharing an update 2-3 times a week.
- Example: “I’m 50% to my goal! Thank you to everyone that has given so far. If you haven’t already, please donate!”
4. Share the work Bible League International does!
- Many of your friends may or may not know who Bible League International is. Sharing about our ministry will help others understand us better and why you support us.
- Example: “Bible League International works in Asia training women to educate other women in reading, writing, and most importantly—learning about Jesus Christ.”
- Example: “Help me support Bible League International for my birthday! One of the places they work is in Latin America, training others to bring the love of Jesus to children in poverty-stricken areas.”

About Bible League International
What does Bible League International Do?
Bible League International provides God’s Word where needed most.
By giving the Word of God to under-resourced churches, the needs of local believers and their communities can be met. They use:
1. Project Philip Bible studies to help people understand God’s Word—and believe
2. Church Planter Training to plant new churches where none exist
3. Bible-based Literacy to help people learn how to read and write using the Word of God
Where will donations go?
Your donations and the donations of your friends will go to provide Bibles and training to one of six different regions where Bible League International serves:
- Africa
- Latin America
- Asia
- Middle East
- Europe
- United States
As trained believers engage people in God’s Word, many will find new life in Jesus Christ.
