Each year, Bible League serves children and youth around the globe. Bible League provides Bibles, biblical resources, and training materials to help children learn about and engage in the Word of God. While much of our support goes international, like to villages in Zimbabwe or impoverished neighborhoods in Venezuela, Bible League is also sending the Gospel to people a little closer to home. They're reaching kids less than an hour away from Bible League's headquarters in Crete, Illinois.
Bible League partners with By the Hand Club for Kids, a Christ-centered after school program with four locations in Chicago’s most dangerous and most under-resourced neighborhoods. The program is designed to help children rise above violence and poverty, leading them to an abundant life in Jesus Christ.
Bible League provides Easy-to-Read (ERV) Illustrated Children’s Bibles and Project Philip Bible study materials, both created to be clear and engaging for all ages. “We’re dealing with kids who struggle with reading,” says Josh Wheeler, Spiritual Development Specialist of By the Hand Club. “Most Bibles aren’t speaking the same language that the kids are speaking, so that becomes an instant turn-off. With the ERV Bible, they get it!”
