Helping Children Know God
In Mulchen, Chile, ongoing land disputes are making this area violent and dangerous for residents. Many here also struggle with addiction and unemployment. So when Noelia, a leader at a church in Mulchen, heard about a Project Philip Bible study training, she gladly accepted the offer. She believes that God's Word is the only way to bring true peace to this broken community.
She says, "I always wanted to serve this area even though it is a violent region. But I knew I needed the right training and materials to break through the hostile environment." From the moment Noelia and her husband started their church, they saw a great need to evangelize and disciple the children in their community. Noelia notes, "Project Philip Bible studies for children seemed to be the perfect answer to the need of my region!"
The couple just finished their first Project Philip Bible studies for children and each child was delighted to receive his or her own children's Bible. Many of the kids' families are poor and cannot afford to buy a Bible. Noelia explains, "We feel proud that they know Jesus Christ now and will be able to make better decisions when exposed to negative influences in the community."
Noelia and her husband are grateful for the difference the materials and training are making in their lives and the lives of their neighbors. She beams, "We are thankful to God for providing us with a vision and fantastic materials to transform children in our community. We pray God will continue to bless you, so that you can continue to support the development of churches around the world."
