Summary
The Learning and Development Intern will support the Human Resources team in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs and initiatives. This individual will assist in conducting needs assessments if applicable, creating training materials, and evaluating the effectiveness of learning initiatives. The intern will collaborate with HR, IT and Digital Marketing to ensure the successful development and delivery of training content. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in instructional design, training delivery, and implementation of a learning management system (LMS). This position provides a valuable learning opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in learning and development. The ideal candidate will have strong learning and development acumen and experience or interest with working as a part of a Human Resources team.

Duties
- Assisting in the design and development of training programs: You will collaborate with HR to create training materials and job aids for various learning initiatives.
- Supporting training delivery: You will have the chance to assist in delivering training sessions, both in-person and virtually, by setting up training rooms, coordinating logistics, and providing technical support during sessions.
- Conducting research and needs assessments: You may be involved in gathering data and conducting research to identify learning needs and gaps within the organization. This could involve analyzing employee feedback, conducting surveys, or reviewing performance data.
- Organizing and coordinating training activities: You might be responsible for organizing training schedules, managing participant registrations, and communicating training details to employees.
- Evaluating training effectiveness: You will help assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs by collecting and analyzing data, administering surveys or assessments, and providing feedback on program outcomes.
- Assisting with learning technology: You may support the implementation and maintenance of learning management system (LMS) or other learning technologies, ensuring smooth access and usability for employees.
- Collaborating with others: You will have the opportunity to work closely with various departments, to gather content and ensure the alignment of training programs with organizational goals.

Qualifications
- Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must also agree with our statement of faith and conduct his/herself in a Christ-like manner.
- Education: Degree or currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with learning and development theories, instructional design principles, and adult learning principles.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and ideas.
- Analytical skills: The ability to analyze training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives.
- Technology skills: Proficiency in using various learning management systems (LMS), e-learning software, and other training tools.
- Organizational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Collaboration skills: A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Creativity: The ability to think creatively and develop innovative training approaches and materials.
- Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in training materials and programs.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and methodologies in the field of learning and development.
