The Middle East is known for many things—radicals, refugees, terrorist cells, conflict, suffering and storied history. Home to the Holy Land, it’s also where life began, where the ancient Israelites were guided by God, where the early Church was birthed, and where Jesus lived and ministered. Today, since Christians comprise only a small percentage of the population, one would think that the Church here is weak, outnumbered and retreating. Host Michael Woolworth and his Bible League International companions learned on a recent trip to the Middle East that, despite all of the challenges, the Church is truly living out her role as the radiant bride of Christ.
