Across Latin America, the hunger for God’s Word is growing. God has given us all a desire for a relationship with Him, especially in the midst of difficult circumstances. So many across Latin America are facing hardships, yet we know God meets them in the valleys.

How can you pray for this region?

Pray for believers in Latin America

God has raised up a multitude of dedicated believers who are actively sharing the Gospel in their communities. Pray for these individuals. Pray that God would continue to nurture their spirits and grow their faith. Pray that God would strengthen them in times of difficulty, and that when they walk through valleys, they know He is near. Pray that God would give them opportunities to continue to share His love.

Pray for believers like Gabriel, a young man who is sharing the Gospel in an impoverished community in Venezuela. God is saving souls in this community and is using people like Gabriel to spread His Gospel. Praise God for Gabriel and others!

Always pray for all of God’s people.
Ephesians 6:18 ERV

Pray For Believers In Latin America

Pray for non-believers in Latin America

Though there are many new believers in this region, there are also many still searching for the way that’s found only in a relationship with Jesus. Pray for non-believers across Central and South America. Pray that God would soften their hearts and open their eyes to His love. Pray that God would protect them from the actions of the enemy who is keeping them in darkness.

Pastors like Juan Bosco are reaching communities where many have never heard of Jesus Christ. Praise God for His continued work in these communities, and for the souls He reaches everyday with His Word. Pray that people across Latin America will accept the saving grace of Jesus Christ!

The ruler of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News—the message about the divine greatness of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:4 ERV

Pray For Non Believers In Latin America

Pray for prisoners

God is using leaders across Latin America to reach people serving time in prison. For many, prison could seem like the end of the line. There seems to be no redemption. But God can bring redemption to any person. Pray that God would reveal Himself to prisoners across Latin America so they can receive the hope of salvation. Pray that God would make His Word available and that He would bring people together to study it. Pray for families of those incarcerated, that God would comfort them and bring peace and joy.

Fernando and Ireri are missionaries and pastors who are directing one of the largest prison ministries in Mexico. They have seen firsthand accounts of God bringing peace, joy, and hope to men and women who are serving time. Pray that missionaries like them continue to serve the Lord in this way and bring His Word to prisons.

The LORD listens to poor, helpless people. He does not turn away from those who are in prison. Psalm 69:33 ERV

Pray For Prisioners

Pray for those facing hard circumstances

Many people in Latin America are facing horrific circumstances – situations that seem hopeless without the hope of Christ. Many are living in poverty, struggling with drug abuse or watching their loved ones struggle, or facing violence and gang activity. But the Savior of the world reaches everyone in every circumstance, and we trust that He is working in each situation.

Sandra in Nicaragua has had her fair share of trials. She never knew her father, and she quit school at an early age. She became a single mother in her teens and in 2010, she was diagnosed with cancer. Sandra had to sell her home and move to afford medical care. She was depressed and refused to eat. Sandra felt hopeless. But God pursued her and placed her in a small group Bible study. Even though she struggled to read the texts, Sandra learned about her heavenly Father and accepted salvation. Praise God for His continued perseverance to bring His children to Him.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16 NIV

Christ gave these gifts to prepare God’s holy people for the work of serving, to make the body of Christ stronger. Ephesians 4:12 ERV
