A Heart Redeemed

After he heard the music, Brian started going to Calvary Temple. And the Holy Spirit began working in his heart.

Through the church, Brian joined Bible League’s Bible study program. He pored over the booklets. Scripture began to shape his heart and mind… and the gospel began to satisfy his deep spiritual hunger.

“I gave my life to Christ after attending the program,” Brian says. And he can’t bring himself to steal anymore, even to survive. “I learned that stealing was wrong, and though I get hungry, I have chosen to borrow instead of stealing.”

Because of Bible League friends like you, Brian received his first Bible. And his favorite verse, Hebrews 11:6, rolls right off his tongue:

Today, Brian tells his friends about Jesus. He loves going to church. And God has even opened his heart to his mother. “I want God to change my mother,” he says. He prays that she comes to know Christ. Despite what she’s done to him, Brian loves her.

Now Brian is thinking beyond his next meal. One day, he wants to become a policeman “to guard the nation.” His joyful resilience is inspiring. And you’ll be touched by his final words to our team:

“The materials Bible League provides change lives. Thank you. You have changed me. Continue with the same!”
