The incumbent will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of programs aimed at nurturing the spiritual growth and holistic development of children and youth. Duties

As the Director of Children and Youth Development, you will play a pivotal role in devising strategies and leading initiatives to provide age-appropriate biblical resources and discipleship programs. Your leadership will drive our mission to foster spiritual growth and meaningful engagement among children and youth globally.

    1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for children and youth development programs aligned with Bible League International’s mission and values.
    2. Program Development: Lead the creation of innovative and impactful programs that address the spiritual, educational, and social needs of children and youth.
    3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and local communities to ensure the successful execution of programs and initiatives.
    4. Resource Management: Oversee budgetary planning and resource allocation for children and youth development programs, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
    5. Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to measure the impact of programs and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
    6. Leadership and Team Development: Provide visionary leadership to the children and youth development team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
    7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Organizational Relationships

  • Responsible to: Vice President of Content & Training Development
  • Responsible for: This position possesses no direct reports.
  • Collaborates with: VP of Content and Training Development, Senior Director of Content Development, Director of Bible-Based Literacy, Prison Ministry Training Manager, VP of Ministry Partnership, Relationship Development; Regional Directors & Task Force.

Qualifications

  1. Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must also agree with our statement of faith and conduct his/herself in a Christ-like manner.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (divinity, theology, education, or related fields). A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  3. Experience:
    1. 8+ years of children and youth experience within a Christian organization or K-12 educational environments.
    2. 8+ years of experience in leadership.
    3. Possesses a strong foundational understanding of education, learning, and educational theory in practice and functionality.
  4. Strategic Vision:
    1. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, with an understanding of local and global trends in children and youth development.
  5. Interpersonal Skills:
    1. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Travel:
    1. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10-15% of the time

Performance Evaluations

You will meet with your manager in alignment with our fiscal year to discuss accomplishments and priorities four times per fiscal year.
