At the heart of our global strategy is Project Philip, a Bible study program inspired by the story of Philip and the Ethiopian in Acts 8. Philip asked the Ethiopian eunuch, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The response: “How can I understand? I need someone to explain it to me.”
Worldwide, 775 million adults—approximately 1 in 10—are considered functionally illiterate. Without the ability to effectively use the written and digital information around them, these individuals face a life of struggle and poverty.
Church planters are local believers with a calling, extensive Project Philip training, and experience in spreading the Gospel in their own country. They are motivated, mobile, and are equipped to grow the Church in many different parts of the world.
