During times of natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy, those of us not in the storm’s path feel helpless as we read the stories and view the pictures of devastation and heartache. We imagine ourselves in the place of those of you who are suffering and share in your sorrows.
I want you to know that we at Bible League International are in prayer for any who have lost family members, friends, and others in this storm. We are also in prayer for those who have lost homes, businesses, and treasures. We ask the Lord to provide an extra measure of strength for the disaster relief teams who are working in dangerous situations and for the hospital personnel caring for the sick and injured. We also pray that the Church across the US will become the hands and feet of Jesus in acts of kindness in the coming days to those who have lost so much.
May God’s Word always be a secure source of peace and comfort to those recovering from the storm's impact and to each of us in whatever tumults of life we encounter.
Standing on the promises,
